- Coinsource will text you a six-digit verification code.
- Once you enter the code, you’ll be asked to take a few photos to confirm identification. All your information is 100% confidential and private.

A Note About Requiring a State ID
Coinsource is proud to voluntarily be in compliance with all state and federal regulations that cover the use of our automated kiosks to buy and sell cryptocurrency. We ask for a photo of your state ID and a selfie to confirm your identification and safeguard your transactions. Confirming your identify helps us stay in compliance with the Know Your Customer Rule, or KYC, which is designed to prevent unlawful financial activities.

Coinsource is the only Bitcoin ATM operator in the world to have been awarded the prestigious Virtual Currency License granted by the New York State Department of Financial Services. The NYDFS is known for imposing heavy regulatory requirements on cryptocurrency businesses and their application process is extremely thorough and very demanding. We’re proud to be the first Bitcoin ATM operator to receive this license.
