How Can I Spend Bitcoin?

Bitcoin Accepted HereNow that you own Bitcoin, you may wonder what you can purchase or pay for with it. Here are four options for spending Bitcoin:

Option 1 – Bitcoin debit cards

Sign up for a bitcoin debit card service which enables you to spend your bitcoin anywhere that Visa or Mastercard is accepted. The two forms of cards are physical plastic cards that are shipped to you by the card issuer and a virtual card that is stored in a mobile app. Either you will be able to fill up your card with dollars or local currency by sending bitcoin to the debit card company or the debit card company will operate a bitcoin wallet for you, which will be used to fund debit card purchases.

Option 2 – Bitcoin-accepting stores

According to coinmap.org, there are thousands of brick-and-mortar stores and venues across the world that accept bitcoin as payment for goods and services. Check out this current list of merchants who accept bitcoin. It’s as easy as paying with cash or credit cards.

Option 3 – Bitcoin e-commerce

There are tens of thousands of online merchants who will gladly accept your bitcoin for goods and services. Some popular ones include household names such as Overstock.com, Expedia, Microsoft, Virgin Galactic, and even KFC Canada. These merchants accept bitcoin as a payment option in addition to traditional payment methods.

Option 4 – Sell for cash

To sell bitcoin for cash, head to the nearest Coinsource Bitcoin ATM. Check out the simple process here.
