Coinsource’s CEO Sheffield Clark and CMO Bobby Sharp are announced as Entrepreneur’s of the Year for 2018
Fort Worth, TX, June 27, 2018 — For the first time ever, leaders of a Bitcoin company have been selected as the winners of the Southwest 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year award in the FinTech category. Coinsource CEO Sheffield Clark and CMO Bobby Sharp beat out multiple entrepreneurs excelling in areas of innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Each business leader was nominated by a third party and selected by a panel of independent judges.
CEO of Coinsource Sheffield Clark said, “It’s always an honor to be considered alongside an elite group of talented, driven, and selfless individuals, and we are extremely excited to have been awarded such a prestigious title. We were finalists last year and to win it this year is an absolute career highlight. Being recognized in traditional business circles as leaders of the year is a testament to the adoption of bitcoin by the general public. This recognition further demonstrates that blockchain technology is the way of the future, and we are proud to be paving the way for its growth.”
After a breakout year in 2016, Coinsource became, and remains to this day, the world’s largest bitcoin ATM network, deploying machines to key population centers across America at a consistent rate. Now with close to 200 ATMs across 18 states, Coinsource provides quick and convenient access to the world’s fastest growing alternative asset, directly from the kiosk.
“We are very proud of what we’ve built here at Coinsource. As true believers in the capabilities of blockchain, one of our main goals is to further open access to digital asset markets by providing the unbanked and underbanked with cash to bitcoin, and bitcoin to cash conversion. We are exceptionally grateful and humbled to be recognized out of the immense competition on the EY list. We believe this technology is going to change the world as we know it,” Clark said.
CMO Bobby Sharp, who has a wealth of experience in the media, hospitality and tech industries, is also a co-founder of Coinsource.
Debra von Storch, EY Americas Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Director said, “EY has been recognizing leading entrepreneurs who do things differently for more than three decades. We are proud to announce the 2018 winners, who boldly break the mold to create new solutions, innovations and possibilities that redefine how we live, work and play.”
